Speakerboxxx/The Love Below
I know you missed me. Unfortunately I didn't have time to update, I hope you'll forgive me. But now, music and me. Antwan "Big Boi" Patton and André "André 3000" Benjamin, OutKast. The duo is one of the most successful hip-hop groups of all time, having received six Grammy Awards. Over 25 million copies have been sold of OutKast's eight releases. So respect em. I recently rediscovered this group when I decided to update my music library. At the beginning in 1990s their musical style was a mixture of Dirty South and G-Funk. Since then, many musical elements have been added. Now they represent hip-hop, funk, soul and even electronica. Speakerboxxx/The Love Below is a double album. Big Boi's Speakerboxx is largely a funk and Dirty South blended party record. André 3000's The Love Below presents elements found in funk, jazz, electronic music and of course R&B. The album debuted on the Billboard 200 albums chart at number-one and stayed there for several weeks. When I think of OutKast, I find myself thinking about this album aswell. Songs stand out with a flow like no other. Listening to this, just think about good things and let yourself go. This is OutKast
